Andalsnes to Fedje

We're driving the boat south now, trying to get to Bergen in time for our next crew change. After leaving Andalsnes Wednesday morning, we stopped for bit in Innfjorden, the next fjord over, to watch the BASE racers during their qualifying jumps. Exhilarating! Then, we motor sailed all afternoon in light winds out of the fjords to an anchorage just north of Alesund. We raised anchor early Thursday and headed out into open ocean, rounding Statt in three meter swells and 25 knot winds -- definitely not comfortable. By the end of the day, we had logged more than 75 miles and put Statt behind us. That night, we tied up to a dock in a cove north of Floro. Friday, it was on to Alden, where we climbed "Den Norske Hesken" ("The Norwegian Horse"), which is the name of the island's mountain. Saturday, we sailed through a rainstorm on a 20-knot beam reach for 30 miles to Fedje, an island just 30 miles north of Bergen, where we are laying over until Monday.
