We've enjoyed a wonderful, lazy week here in Tananger, recovering from the fast voyage here from Sweden and resting up for the frenzy ahead. Tomorrow, Chris and Martin, our North Sea crossing crew, arrive and the weather forecast supports immediate departure for Scotland upon their arrival.
So here are a few images of our time here in Tananger. What's not shown is the busy hours with various boat projects (e.g., cleaning and lubing winches, custom fitting the outboard cover, practicing celestial sightings), or the lazy hours relaxing with a good book.
What the photos do cover is the setting here in Tananger, with the busy oil port on one side of the breakwater and the peaceful, protected small boat harbor where we are on the other. Plus, the trip into Stavanger astride our trusty Brompton folding bicycles, which routed us along both dedicated bicycle lanes adjacent to well traveled highways and lesser traveled gravel paths through mossy forests.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
