We are alive and well, currently back in Tobermory on the Isle of Mull where our Western Isles tour began two weeks ago. Finally, we have fast Internet and I can again post to the blog.
We are sailing the Inner Hebrides now, guided by our dear British friends and country hosts, Chris and Ann Adams of London, Evenlode, and Ardfern, UK. They've led us across from the Outer Hebrides to the island of Coll, then on to Loch Moidart and its priceless castle, and now back to Tobermory. With them, we've enjoyed some challenging sails (sailing to weather in confused seas, Force 6 at a time), breathtaking settings (e.g., Loch Moidart), restorative nature hikes (complete with chanterelle foraging), delicious dining and great camraderie.
Posted above are photos from the last few days, and below is a description of our time on the Outer Hebrides. In two days, our brief shore leave in Ardfern begins and I will catch you up further.
