Blast Off!

I am writing from Logan Airport where Jocelyn and I are awaiting the departure of our Delta flight to Europe, which leaves in an hour. Just enough time for a post about our three days in my old stomping grounds.

We arrived late afternoon Saturday and went directly to son John's bachelor pad in Brookline, about 20 minutes from the airport. John led us to a tapas bar for dinner, then left us tucked into his crib while he ventured late into the Boston night life with friends.

Sunday,we drove 150 miles or so to Litchfield, Connecticut, where we were graciously hosted for an evening by my Aunt and Uncle at their beautiful New England manor. As a bonus, my cousin Cathy was visiting from Florida, and we all reminisced about old times well into the evening.

Monday, we returned to Boston for a second helping of John's lifestyle, this time with Game Six of the Boston Bruins Stanley Cup Finals as the main feature. We took in the game as part of a raucous crowd at a well stocked sports bar near the live action. A deafening chant of "We want the Cup!" erupted as the Bruins prevailed over Vancouver five goals to two.

Today, we observed the Sandbox 3.0 in action, as John and his cohorts advanced their Jnctns mission. I am pleased to report that Windleblo has been selected for a Jnctns beta test, so watch this space more on how to access our ExMap. Meanwhile, check out Jnctns.com for background.

So far, your responses to my "Call for Questions" (see previous post) has yielded three topics:
o Liveaboard life
o Knitting at sea
o First-hand reviews of Scottish distilleries and breweries
I will endeavor to address these topics as we go, but do not hesitate to suggest others by commenting on this blog or through windleblo@gmail.com.

My next post will be from Sweden.
